CRAIG R. MILES
CRAIG R. MILES has practiced intellectual property law since 1999. He founded CR MILES P.C. in 2003 to focus on international and domestic patent, trademark, and copyright law. In his practice as an intellectual property attorney he has prepared, filed, and successfully prosecuted hundreds of patent and trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as internationally by way of the Patent Cooperation Treaty and Paris Convention.
Prior to his practice as an intellectual property and patent attorney in Colorado, he was a research scientist in the biomolecular sciences at the crossroads of chemical, biological, physical, and computational sciences focusing on the molecular understanding of cellular function. He was a founder of Cytel Corporation in La Jolla, California, which developed research methods to assess molecular recognition and regulation. As an Assistant Professor at Colorado State University, he was the Director of facilities for the synthesis and assessment of peptide, protein, and nucleic acid structures.
CHERYL L. ANDERSON
CHERYL L. ANDERSON is an experienced intellectual property attorney practicing with an emphasis in trademarks, trade dress, copyright, and trade secret law. Cheryl handles complex trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has negotiated and settled many trademark and copyright disputes since 1998. She has significant experience in the licensing, negotiation and drafting of intellectual property documents including trademark and copyright agreements.
In addition to her Juris Doctor, Cheryl also holds a Master of Science degree in human nutrition. She has served in various clinical and teaching positions with, among others, the University of Utah Health Sciences Center, Yale-New Haven Medical Center, Duke University Medical Center, The Stamford Hospital, University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, Northern Illinois University, and Northern Colorado Medical Center.
DR. SUSAN F. HUDACHEK
DR. SUSAN F. HUDACHEK is a patent agent with technical expertise in the areas of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Her practice focuses on all aspects of domestic and foreign patent prosecution as well as due diligence reviews, valuation of patents and technologies, and strategic management of patent portfolios.
Prior to commencing her legal career, Susan completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Colorado State University's Animal Cancer Center, during which she was funded by the Department of Defense's Breast Cancer Research Program to study population-based predictions of potential drug interactions in adjuvant breast cancer therapy. Susan earned both an M.S. and Ph.D. from the Cell and Molecular Biology Program at Colorado State University with focuses on basic as well as translational science. For these degrees, her research encompassed seasonal, tissue-specific regulation of AKT/protein kinase B and glycogen synthase in hibernators and ovine pulmonary adenocarcinoma as an animal model for human lung adenocarcinoma respectively.
JAMES B. CONTE
JAMES B. CONTE is an experienced intellectual property attorney whose current focus is commercial litigation, commercial transactions, patent matters, and trademark matters.
James holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois and is a Juris Doctor graduate from UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles, California.
James has been voted by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in Patents and Trademarks for three consecutive years 2022, 2023, and 2024.
